“2 million daily active users to Failure” Billions to Bankruptcy #11 Koo was founded in 2020 by Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka as a microblogging platform for Indians in multiple languages.Initially experienced a rapid rise due to its positioning as a local alternative to Twitter also won second place in the AatmaNirbhar Bharat App innovation challenge. Koo reached the valuation of $274 million after Series B round led by Tiger Global.Koo at its peak had 2 million daily active users and 10 million monthly active users. Koo invested heavily in marketing but failed to generate enough revenue ,struggled to engage and retain customers and Koo faced dificulties in content moderation which tarnished its reputation. By early 2024 Koo’s user base fell significantly so they tried for an acquisition deal with Daily Hunt and many media houses but the deal failed to take place.so The little yellow bird said its final goodbye on July 03 2024
