Well even i thought the same. There's literally no point of them. But if you see from these companies' perspective, few hundred million isn't alot for nothing for them. And though these indian llm's are far behind ChatGPT, it should be considered that they are basic versions and Even chat GPT's first versions would be bad. Still, not a good imo. India can make a great GenAi but there's no need
