India's sneaker market is experiencing an exciting surge. Stumbled upon this exciting start-up -> Comet . They raised $1.5 M seed last year and are expected to announce a Series A in the next few weeks. ⏭️Investors include: Elevation Capital, Nexus VP Intrigued, I started reading more about them - - Solid designs, priced ~40% lower than international brands. - Limited editions, such as the Santanu Hazarika collab (sold out in 2 hours, a record for a homegrown brand). - One of the few Indian brands that design their own soles. - Their website and Instagram feature superb content! India's sneaker market is small but has plenty of room for growth -> ~$3 B market v/s the US at ~$24 B. ⏩~52% of our population being <30 provides a massive demographic advantage.
