Business model could be through extended warranties

One caveat I see here is, now a days physical warrenty cards has of no use. Because of digitization. Vendors themselves are allowing users to register the products on their portal.

Only problem is When we want to use the warranty ; many brands ask for physical certificate ; if that can be solved By a digital certificate that your app provides than a huge pain would be addressed

I and my friend started working on this idea 2 year back. But due to some reason, we lost focus. We can connect with you.

Sounds awesome I’ve no idea where I’ve keep warranty for most of my things, better if this is recommended by few unison of brands, that will give it a great validation

For it to be worth using, I'd want it to also have comprehensive databases of product info, service centers, installation guides etc. Otherwise I'll still need to dig around.

As long as it has good OCR for scanning weird warranty cards/documents, I'd be into this. Anything to avoid dealing with finding that paperwork.

I would love to use it. I usually keep warranty cards in storage somewhere safe but reminders would be great.

This can be made part of existing apps like kaagaz for document scan. Standalone it will be difficult to make people download or buy premium tier

1. You’ll have to standardise the industry avg of warranties, you should be able to find amazing number as to how much people actually loose on in warranty or due to unawareness of it. There is a good chance you’ll be succeeding if you research the market well and position more as an insurance provider than a simple warranty safekeep.
