So what if the investor likes a certain idea that has many upvotes or something, and then the investor approaches the person who posted the idea either through dm or e-mail and then they mutually set up a meeting?

I'm guessing then the revenue model I thought of would be doomed, which was charging a commision if they raise funds.

Implementation of apps likes these mostly have revenue through data I believe. We can sell analytics like, this business was most discussed, these types of bussiness are people working on. Getting userdetails and segregate them based on the field of work. So you sell potential co-founder, founder,ceo data which many businesses would like to invest.
