With such drastic changes the tution fees of college is going to rise as well and reducing the number of colleges will only make matters worse for people who could barely get into good institutions (by name only) because of their grades(which seem to matter more to society rather than Job corps). The ideal way to reduce number of Unemployed people is to accept a wide range of fields where a career seems lame but is actually fun. In the Pandemic, IT industry rose to the top because it simply had the option to work remotely from anywhere in the world but when more and more people started flooding the IT job sector competition has risen rapidly and because of this unemployment had also increased.

You raise an interesting point. But, I'm not only talking about unemployment due to lack of job opportunities or saturated number of graduates from a particular degree like cs, but rather the unemployablity of graduates who doesn't have necessary skills in order to be valuable to the industry. I just gave an example of IT, but I recently read a research paper which stated that even graduates from top institutions like IIMs and IITs don't necessarily have the skillset needed for the current workplace.

These people are unable to manage normal railways and they are aiming for fancy transport. The over hyped Bullet Train project is far far behind schedule and it's costs has risen several times. Don't know what these people will do with the hyperloop
