Greetings people! Today, I got to know that Bata isn't an India-origin brand! So I dived into their story and here is what I got to know! The T. & A. Bata Shoe Company was founded in 1894, by Tomas whose family has been cobblers for generations. In 1895, Tomas was burdened financially. To overcome this, he decided to sew shoes from canvas instead of leather and boom! Later on, they got to know about machines being made in the US and learnt about mass production which allowed Bata to become one of the first mass producers in Europe. One of their product ‘batovky’ became very successful which helped the company. Bata survived both wars and continued to grow, as it gave customers value-for-money goods. After Tomas, the successors carried the business and expanded it Internationally! There's a lot about this brand but the main point is, did you all notice many of the old unicorns are rags to riches stories that boomed due to consistency and the idea of always learning any skill? (luck)
