You're getting 16k less than what your colleague is getting. Adjust brother, a good door will definitely open up.

I agree it just 16k less, but it is not just about the money. It is about being valued, I worked hard to get converted to full time and not to sound arogant but I do work better and harder than my some colleagues who are getting paid better for less
