The radius of the circle is 1 unit. When you have a circle inscribed in a square, the diameter of the circle is equal to the length of the square's sides. Since the square's sides are 2 units long, and the diameter is double the radius, that means the radius has to be 1 unit to fit inside that square. Simple as that.
