Stop looking for IIT & IIM students, go for some general university passout candidates with good skill because these branded candidates either ask for equity or pay without negotiation.

Absolutely right. Someone who really is passionate about startup and wants to work might not have as much educational degress but he might be able to contribute more in startup. Even with low pay.
