I too used to think so. Well, unfortunately it is a big problem still. According to a stat, only 4-5% of marriages in India are inter-caste even today. That can't be by chance. For sure, the problem's intensity is much higher in Tier-2, Tier-3 cities and in the rural areas but that's like vast majority of India's population
