Every product have an end stage it may shut down or go to less consumers. But zuck like founders have plans for them from past itself. Zuck knows at some point Facebook gets irrelevant. He tried his best to make people use it. Then he acquired WhatsApp. Then he he acquired Instagram. Instagram is more like a product pivot. he understood what people wants for future and just buyed it. Most of the successful company founders don't just end with the product. They build a brand around himself and company. Then they try to pivot it as consumer behavior or consumer needs. Then they literally search, discovery or invent it and acquire by the company. Meta is the best example for that they know future is more on vr/ ar so they just pivoted their name to meta and working on vr for future pivot from now itself. But some founders like Omegle recent founder literally shut down it as it's not viable anymore. He may does not see future or have not much intrest on this.
