Yes!! Physicswallah is in loss. But they started to invest in offline coaching centers, and schools. This helps in survival.

Physicswallah is expanding his business in different sectors but it is not worth cause if ur system is comprensive quality improve in so many things it quality will go

Just seeing loss that doesn’t mean it’s in loss , wait for another quarter you will notice the change. He is expanding the business , he Will anyway not concentrate on profit , wait some more time Dear , never call any business strategy a stupid idea

First of all , the course from physicssWallah is much affordable than other ed tech startup. They also have raised $100 million and are planning to use the latest capital for business expansion, branding, and will open more learning centers. They may run in loss for couple of month to years to capture new student . First they will provide free course . For example foundation course of Company secretary ( CS ) is completely free but for next 2 stages they will charge fee. Initially student will get free and after that they have to pay for another course. That's how PW is master of ed tech industries.

Running a profitable Ed tech business is really difficult in India. Converting the free customers you have into valuable customers who pay and take your course is rather a monumental task. Their latest endeavour of schools might be the break they need to change their P&L.

Their courses and whole system needs logical improvements .

They are not loss making , they just acquiring more consumers by thier expansions in offline mode (gurukul)and thats called cash burning And its a part of marketing when entering into a new market

They are unnecessarily launching in other courses where they literally don't have little idea. It should've remained just like a IIT Jee and neet edtech type.Alakh is still surviving despite funding winter due to the trust he has from the students.

You see most of their revenue is generated offline and from MAINLY tier 2,3,4 cities. And that is the kind of consumer base, that once they trust you, And are happy with your product, they will be your consistent users, so even if 10% of their batches are discounted or freebies, they use that as marketing to acquire the rest 90% which are high paying, and ofc tier 1 and metro city make up for those expenses as well, as prices are significantly high there.
