An airline has a 100 seater aircraft. It fills fuel for $10,000. The per seat fuel cost works out to $100. In addition, the airline spends another $10 on providing food and a beverage to each flyer. So the total cost per seat is $110. They decide to price the ticket at $150 to a certain destination. The airline has managed to sell 50 tickets and the flight is about to take off. A last minute passenger, keen to fly but unable to afford the card rate, offers to pay $75. Should the passenger be accepted? And why?
