Can a app based startup be bootstraped ? Let's discuss! I probably think no coz firstly it requires a lot of funds just to do basic things and if included marketing, operating costs, salary, etc it would be huge amount. Also in such startup scaling play a major role coz some may copy the app and there are possibilities that a well funded startup doing same will scale in loss for years and capture market and turn profitable. So bootstrapping can't be done so easily.

It's easy to bootstrap bruh. You don't know how easy and efficiently you can make a app based startup. It seems in huge but you need just 4 to 5 hard working team that's it. You can do it upto most viable product. When you get some traction you will eventually get fund raised easily or you can get a loan

It depends upon the product and service it is offering.. but if the founders have coding knowledge and have a little to invest. It can be bootstrapped. Take example of medial only, it got funding last month..but even if they hadn't taken funding, they could grow organically. They only had start thete earning methods (like ads) now. I know it is hard to bootstrap an app but not impossible.

Maybe you are right, as for now we at prescribal are totally bootstrapped for developing MVp stage .. let's see how far we can go with bootstrapped mindset !

It all depends on your business model. If it’s scalable, proprietary, Product play then funding makes sense. I don’t think you can build bootstrapped “startups” anymore because of hyper telepathic information exchange. The kammath brothers started way before internet started booming and accessibility wasn’t abundant. If they were to start today, don’t think they would have been able to gain the market share they have today while being bootstrapped. You can build bootstrapped businesses for sure but not startups.
