Your friend should think about whitelabelling ladoos for brands and focus on hyperlocal distribution. If you run social media ads about how delightful ladoos are, you must be prepared to deliver it within 10 minutes of the customer clicking on the ad. If you don’t, they will order it from a local mithaiwala on Zomato/Swiggy. You would essentially be paying for the marketing of your competitors by not being ready.

He Need To Focus On Quality , Distribution Channel, and he need to launch advertising campaigns to make his brand name popular and build trustworthiness by it

In Sweets Industry, there is no big brand (expect Haldiram and Balaji), so creating a brand here would be great. You can recommend him starting an app/website to order. This will make it more convenient for buyer.

Personally, I blinkit/zepto sweets 2-3 times a week, have tried all brands listed (gurgaon) still not satisfied with taste, quality and packaging. Modern trade is also huge. Connect with Jio Mart, if your samples are approved and commercials are finalized, they will place you in the stores across state/region. Also sweets have a sweet EBITDA of 15-35%. My suggestion would be that, he can just make those fancy boxes which is the USP, not the laddoos inside. It can be both B2B - by selling them directly to businesses to pack their sweets as well as B2C - for wedding gifts and other bulk purchase requirements. There can be text with different font options, designs, patterns on the box for the customer to choose from. In fact, he can make a website or an app that allows the customer to create his custom print on the box, templates to choose from as well as various box sizes like single big laddoo, ½ kg, 1kg box etc. Manufacturing, advertising, gaining customers and distribution are going to be the main challenges. This business will require a good amount of capital investment to start with, without expectations of significant RoI.

The Packaging , quality of the product plays a vital role but the issue is the consumer doesn't want to pay a lot on the packaging ,consumer look on to the quality of the product (ladoo) but if we make decent looks of the packaging/or show case the different varieties of the packaging makes the consumer to look on it and select a design Good Idea brother, But how do you find the consumers/clients?
