I think it’s very to difficult to catch students attention in such a setup and very tough to monetise in any way. A lot of people have tried this before but cant do because 90% students are busy in having fun and it’s very tough to change that.

This will only work if you go for school kids not uni students because they already have tons of assignments and project. Start with workshops in school which is free and gradually turn them into subscribers. Then there is a chance

For the roadmaps and videos, freeCodeCamp's app among many other apps is already there. LinkedIn, internshala for internships are there as well. All these apps are doing exactly what you're planning for your app and serve their purposes well. I don't think students would have enough reason to use your app. Also considering the fact that learning resources such as YouTube channels, playlists and videos are compiled in a single social media post and can be shared easily among students. If you're making it as a hobby project, you can give it a try. Otherwise, I would suggest you to make something that would actually require an app to do and could not be done or is harder to do by other means.

we all fall into trap of organising people and saving their time in India. In reality no one cares about time saving and optimisation of daily life.

Bruh, people don't have time to scroll insta, Twitter and apps like this. Trust me the app you building even if it become somewhat popular it would eventually become an app like LinkedIn. Without jobs LinkedIn is useless. Same as that app. Also people wanted to be ahead or unique from their friends. So mostly they don't share. Are even care about what their friends sharing in that same as LinkedIn. Everyone knows whenever someone posts something they only posting to be seen by some HRs that's it.

Don't think it would be a viable idea in the long term, social media apps are a tough nut to crack + the revenue streams are a challenge, but I would love to be proven wrong

I have thought on the same lines. This will be hard to build. The tech will be difficult. Plus you'll need a lot of funding for a long time to sustain before you make serious money.

Novel idea but people go to instagram to escape work/studies. The enagement might not be there.

This is a good idea space. If it is gamified and socially-controlled, it might actually be a good product. Work on it, test, pivot, test again- if you are calculative about it, you might find the sweet spot. My suggestion would be start small with an MVP and test it out in a couple of colleges
