whats your view on making farmers enabled to sell directly to consumers??
Figuring Out • 1y
That would be win win for both consumer and farmer. Even i was thinking of such idea. Where i will go and approch these farmers and purchase crops from them and sell it in cities (directly to consumer or retailer)

Yea it is but isn't that very hard to possible as they barely get time after doing farming also maintaining farming and selling simultaneously will be a headache for them
We will tale care of them! We will actually make there life easy. We will approach the farmers and fix a price (month before). So farmers know that they will get a fixed price. And when the crops are ready, we will send our trucks to purchase them
No but think like B2C process only few consumer will get to farmers and most of them will buy in market because market is accessible and farmers aren't.
I'm not saying that end consumer will go yo farms and buy 1 kg tomato. I'm saying is to create a company which buys crops from farmers and sell that crops to consumer via our platform. Frazzo was one company which was doing similar work
Oh I got it but is it sustainable coz there is margin issue and quality issues as well wastage is another concern also. Margins maybe decent but again making networking. Also if brand is associated with the product the product itself becomes expensiv
Margin: no issues since farmers usually get paid very less and we will.have no middle man Quality: farm grown Wastage: excess crops can be sold to local market hawkers (sabji wala) Networks: spend a week finding and talking to different farmers. I
I some what agree with your points but If it is taken as small startup then it may be fruitful but If plan is pan India then this may lead to many negative consequences. Also it would be hard to get good profit as transportation cost , and wastage (
Yaa, i completely aggre with you. Even i was talking about this on a small scale only.. once it grown to manageable level and people gain our trust, then we can progress pan india. Wastage is a issue everywhere. What matters is reducing wastage.
Taking to pan India is major decision, not only wastage but other expenses will increase alot as well so the decision should be made carefully.
Ya that is why many startups failed here when they begin expanding
Yep business should be more data orientated
