I think it’s mostly namesake (in most of the orgs). Huge organizations do require it in my opinion, as a preemptive measure.

CORRECT! I personally find it apalling to even consider DEI as a part of standard company operations. Imagine getting bonus not based off your performance but based off how welcoming you are to the people of color, sexuality etc etc. you think I’m kidding? That’s Boeing for you. Watch the interview of BlackRock CEO. IT IS TRULY SCARY to think that just because you’re on the receiving end during copulation or you bleed 4 times a month becomes the reason for a competent individual to not get hired because they didn’t chop their balls off.
