I can understand making more money equate to spending more. Don’t forget the factor of inflating your lifestyle. That leads to overspending. Always follow the 3x rule. Making sure you can comfortably afford what you buying 3 times over. Only then decide to spend. Eg. gym for a year is 12k or 10k make sure you have 30k or 36k in your bank so you can comfortably afford it. Never forget 3x rule. 👍🏾

Do your research around SIPs in mutual fund, stocks etc. Your investments should ideally be diversified but obviously in your case only after you’re being able to save 30k approx.

Agreed with everyone else. The amount being saved is small. You never know when you fill need quick cash. Loans and emi’s will put you behind in life if you aren’t prepared.

I earn 76 and save nothing. Early in my career too like you. I think you should focus on spending on upskilling yourself and on luxuries. At least for a while. I do have an emergency fund tho. I will probably start saving a big chunk after my next hike. Live life. Your 20s won't come back.

If you are saving just Rs. 5000, your first priority should be to create an emergency fund. You never know when one might get laid off in which case you shouyld have 6 months bare minimum in hand to find a new job.

I think you should first focus on bringing your expenses down to atleast be able to save 20% of your salary. Where to invest becomes irrelevant if your savings is meager.
