Try talking to early stage SaaS VC’s and float your idea through your head and see how they respond. Don’t go in and start pitching and ask for money, try to start the conversation as something around the space, what do they think about something on the lines of your tool, how do they look at it right now and what would interest them. That way you can get a market sentiment and some idea on how they think.

Try applying to 100X VC, FirstCheque, Neon Fund, they are good early stage investors and might give you an idea of what’s up. You can also look at residency programs like Antler, they invest 2Cr at 9% (fixed).

It’s a clear multiple’s game. Whatever revenue you are doing, you will get 10-20X valuation of that in early stage. For example as far as I am aware about saas investors, they start taking interest when you are doing at least $100k (Rs. 80L) in MRR and the valuation you will get is $1-2M for an investment of $100-250K.

It definitely is hard to raise in the current market, it actually is bad and might get even worse or might get better. You can’t really predict. Have you tried talking to SaaS vcs?

Running after VC money to advance product in SaaS is sketchy. Ideally as a founder you should be able to give equity and convince skilled enough co-founders to come onboard to build your product rather than depending on VC money to hire people to build that product.

SaaS is traction based. If you have built something useful then try to get paying clients for your tool first and then the VCs will follow.
