Phi Commerce is a digital payments company offering omnichannel solutions across both acquiring and issuance. Its technology enables payment providers and enterprises to deliver seamless, flexible payments across online, in-store, and on-the-go channels. As an RBI-licensed Payment Aggregator, it provides a unified payments and lending suite serving B2B and B2C customers globally. For the fintech firm, commissions from GMV settlements with merchants contributed over 87% of its operating revenue, amounting to Rs 90.82 crore in FY25 and growing more than 25% compared to FY24. The remaining revenue came from technology infrastructure services and value-added payment aggregation offerings, which brought in Rs 7.36 crore and Rs 5.73 crore, respectively, in the last fiscal year. The firm earned Rs 3.9 crore in interest from fixed deposits and non-current investments, pushing its total revenue to Rs 107.8 crore. Phi Commerce’s total expenses rose 14% to Rs 133 crore in FY25 compared to Rs 117 crore in FY24. Processing charges for payments remained its largest cost component, accounting for over 57% of total expenses and holding steady at Rs 76.37 crore. Employee benefit expenses, another major cost driver, increased 18% year-on-year to Rs 32.7 crore. Additional costs, including legal and platform support fees, share-based compensation to consultants, and other overheads, added another Rs 23.9 crore. As a result, Phi Commerce’s revenue growth and tighter cost control helped the company narrow its losses by 45% to Rs 16.16 crore in FY25 compared to Rs 29.24 crore in FY24. The improvement was driven largely by a more than 25% increase in commissions from GMV settlements, while payment processing charges remained flat. On a unit level, the company spent Rs 1.28 to earn a rupee in FY25. By the end of FY25, Phi Commerce’s EBITDA margin and ROCE stood at -24.9% and -43.74%, respectively. Its total current assets stood at Rs 70.9 crore, including Rs 26.3 crore in cash and bank balances as of March 2025. According to data intelligence platform TheKredible, Pune-based Phi Commerce has raised a total of $25 million to date, including $11 million in its Series B round raised across two tranches led by BEENEXT.

For context, Licious saw a 9% revenue decline in the last fiscal year (FY24) due to an operational reset, but the last fiscal year (FY25) indicated a recovery led by its omnichannel approach. While Entrackr will analyze the company’s detailed financials once it files its annual statement with the RoC, Licious said it reduced EBITDA losses by 45% to Rs 163 crore in FY25 from Rs 296 crore in FY24. The company credited this improvement to cost control measures and better contribution margins across business lines. Licious claims to serve over 1.2 million monthly customers across 20 cities, with online sales contributing more than 85% of overall revenue. Offline expansion also gathered pace, with the brand crossing 50 retail outlets, including the My Chicken and More chain it acquired in February FY25. Licious plans to scale its retail footprint to 80–100 stores by FY26. Meanwhile, the company’s H1 FY26 revenue rose 42% year-on-year to Rs 530 crore, according to the release. Its quick delivery service, Licious Flash, now serves 60% of its online customers. To date, the Temasek-backed firm has raised over $450 million. According to TheKredible, Mayfield India holds the largest stake in Licious at 14.69%, followed by Vertex Ventures, 3one4 Capital, and others. It competes with FreshToHome, Zappfresh, BBDaily, MeatRoot, and Easymeat.

As a result, Phi Commerce's total costs outpaced revenue growth, leading to a 207% increase in net loss, which widened to Rs 28.9 crore in FY24 from Rs 9.4 crore in FY23. On a unit level, the company spent Rs 1.44 to earn a rupee in FY24. By the end of FY24, Phi Commerce recorded a negative ROCE of -40.18% and an EBITDA margin of -35.11%. Its total current assets stood at Rs 107.7 crore, including Rs 64.6 crore in cash and bank balances as of March 2024. For the full fiscal year ending March 2025, Swiggy’s revenue rose 35% to Rs 15,227 crore in FY25 from Rs 11,247 crore in FY24. On the cost side, the procurement of FMCG products for supply chain distribution formed 33% of its overall cost which increased by 52% to Rs 1,854 crore in Q4 FY25. Meanwhile, the delivery charges saw 27% growth to Rs 1,161 crore in Q4 FY25. Swiggy spent Rs 695 crore and Rs 978 crore on employee benefits and advertising, respectively. Overall, Swiggy’s total expenses for the quarter increased 53% to Rs 5,609 crore from Rs 3,668 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal year basis, its total expenses increased to Rs 18,725 crore in the quarter ending March 2025 from Rs 13,947 crore in FY24. The 53% growth in expenditure led losses to increase by 95% to Rs 1,081 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 555 crore in Q4 FY24. On a fiscal-on-fiscal basis, Swiggy’s losses spiked 33% to Rs 3,117 crore in FY25 from Rs 2,350 crore in FY24.

Entrackr estimates that the company’s valuation rose over 2X to Rs 1,310 crore or $154 million, compared to Rs 592 crore in its previous Series A1 round. On the cost side, the largest cost head remained logistics service charges, which increased 9% to Rs 7,144 crore, accounting for 32% of total expenses. Employee benefit expenses declined 8% to Rs 4,748 crore, while marketing costs rose sharply by 37% to Rs 4,100 crore, making up 18% of overall costs. Collection charges stood at Rs 2,693 crore (12.1% of expenses) and legal/professional fees at Rs 1,394 crore. Overall, Flipkart Internet’s total expenses grew 8% to Rs 22,311 crore in FY25 from Rs 20,627 crore in FY24. Flipkart Internet managed to cut its losses by 37% to Rs 1,494 crore in FY25, from Rs 2,359 crore in FY24. Its EBITDA losses narrowed to Rs 1,078 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,869 crore in FY24, with the EBITDA margin improving from -10.25% to -5.18%. On a unit level, Flipkart spent Rs 1.09 to earn a rupee in FY25, better than Rs 1.15 in FY24. The company also made Rs 44 crore from interest income which took its overall revenue to Rs 2,217 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to Rs 1,936 crore in Q3 FY24. For the omnichannel retailer, the cost of procurement of materials accounted for 66% of the overall expenditure which increased 17% year-on-year to Rs 1,451 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 1,239 crore in Q3 FY24. FirstCry’s employee benefits stood at Rs 177 crore in Q3 FY25 which includes Rs 28 crore as ESOP cost. The marketing, legal, rent, and technology were other overheads that pushed the overall expenditure to Rs 2,210 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 1,978 crore in Q3 FY24. The decent scale and controlled expenditure helped FirstCry to reduce its losses by 70% to Rs 15 crore in the last quarter. Notably, the company reported a positive EBITDA of Rs 152 crore. As of the last trading session, FirstCry’s share price stood at Rs 419 per share, with a total market capitalization of Rs 21,753.8 crore (approximately $2.5 billion).

Employee benefits were recorded at Rs 56 crore, while overall costs increased to Rs 394 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 275 crore in FY24. The company’s controlled cost structure supported profitability, leading to a 62.3% jump in PAT to Rs 112 crore in FY25, against Rs 69 crore in FY24. Auxilo’s expense-to-revenue ratio also improved to 0.75 in FY25. Earlier this year, Auxilo raised Rs 50 crore from Motilal Oswal. Since its inception, it has secured over $100 million across equity and debt. Its flagship product, PayPhi, streamlines complex digital transactions across online, in-store, on-the-go, and doorstep channels. The Pune-based company has raised $20 million to date, according to data intelligence platform TheKredible. Following the latest allotment, BEENEXT holds the largest stake at 25.75%, followed by Opus Software with 24.12%. Meanwhile, co-founders Jose Thattil, Anil Sharma, Tushar Shankar, and Rajesh Londhe collectively retain a 33.7% stake in the company. This pushed its total income to Rs 4,746 crore in FY25 from Rs 3,822 crore in FY24. For the used car retailer, the cost of procuring cars was naturally the largest cost center, accounting for 83.3% of the overall cost. In line with a 25% revenue surge, this cost grew 23% to Rs 4,309 crore in FY25. The firm cut its employee benefits by 13.8% to Rs 338 crore in the said year. Spinny’s direct cost stood at Rs 147 crore while its advertising and promotion costs reduced by 11.3% to Rs 125 crore in FY25. Other overheads, including information technology, legal, travelling, and rent, took the total cost to Rs 5,170 crore in FY25. The decent growth in its revenue helped Spinny to cut down its losses by 28.3% to Rs 423 crore in FY25 from Rs 590 crore in FY24. The company has also improved its per unit expense to revenue ratio in FY25, which was recorded at Rs 1.11. In March this year, the company closed $170 million round this year led by Accel Leaders Fund. Overall, Swiggy’s total expenses for the quarter increased 60% to Rs 6,244 crore from Rs 3,908 crore in Q1 FY25. The 60% growth in expenditure led losses to increase by 96% to Rs 1,197 crore in Q1 FY26 from Rs 611 crore in Q1 FY25. Recently Swiggy reshuffled its board as Sumer Juneja from SoftBank and Anand Daniel from Accel resigned from their roles as nominee directors on Swiggy’s board. Following these departures, Swiggy appointed Faraz Khalid, CEO of Middle East commerce platform noon, as an independent director. Swiggy shares were trading at Rs 404 at the end of Thursday with a total market capitalization of Rs 1,00,730 crore.
