According to the company’s press release, its revenue grew to Rs 795 crore in the last fiscal year. The Bengaluru-based firm also claimed to narrow EBITDA losses by 45%. For context, Licious saw a 9% revenue decline in the last fiscal year (FY24) due to an operational reset, but the last fiscal year (FY25) indicated a recovery led by its omnichannel approach. While Entrackr will analyze the company’s detailed financials once it files its annual statement with the RoC, Licious said it reduced EBITDA losses by 45% to Rs 163 crore in FY25 from Rs 296 crore in FY24. The company credited this improvement to cost control measures and better contribution margins across business lines. Licious claims to serve over 1.2 million monthly customers across 20 cities, with online sales contributing more than 85% of overall revenue. Offline expansion also gathered pace, with the brand crossing 50 retail outlets, including the My Chicken and More chain it acquired in February FY25. Licious plans to scale its retail footprint to 80–100 stores by FY26. Meanwhile, the company’s H1 FY26 revenue rose 42% year-on-year to Rs 530 crore, according to the release. Its quick delivery service, Licious Flash, now serves 60% of its online customers. To date, the Temasek-backed firm has raised over $450 million. According to TheKredible, Mayfield India holds the largest stake in Licious at 14.69%, followed by Vertex Ventures, 3one4 Capital, and others. It competes with FreshToHome, Zappfresh, BBDaily, MeatRoot, and Easymeat.

D2C meat and seafood brand Licious has experienced sluggish growth over the past two fiscal years, with revenue hovering around Rs 700 crore. However, the firm has successfully reduced its losses by 44% in the last fiscal year (FY24). According to the company’s press release, Licious’s revenue declined by 9%, from Rs 746 crore in FY23 to Rs 685 crore in FY24. This modest decline was attributed to the closure of distribution channels like Dunzo and Swiggy Meatsore, as well as a winding down of exposure to modern trade and local stores. Licious reports serving 1.2 million customers each month through its app, which now drives 85% of its total business. The company’s flagship program, Infinity, accounts for 58% of its overall revenue. Despite the slight decrease in revenue, Licious implemented cost control measures that helped cut losses by 44%, bringing them down to Rs 294 crore in FY24 from Rs 524 crore in FY23. The company also anticipates achieving positive EBITDA in the current fiscal year. By the end of FY24, Licious laid off nearly 3% of its workforce citing “operational reset to sharpen the growth focus. The move impacted 80 employees. In an effort to enhance customer experience, Licious is piloting 30-minute deliveries in Gurugram as it shifts to a full-stack D2C model. Additionally, on Tuesday, the firm expanded its physical retail presence by acquiring Bengaluru-based offline retailer My Chicken and More, increasing its retail points of sale to 26. To date, the Bengaluru-based company has raised over $450 million. According to TheKredible, Mayfield India is the largest stakeholder in Licious with 14.69%, followed by Vertex Ventures, 3one4 Capital, Temasek, and others. Licious is the largest player in the D2C meat and seafood space, competing with companies like FreshToHome, Zapfresh, BBDaily, MeatRoot, and Easymeat. In October 2023, quick commerce platform Zepto entered the meat delivery market with its in-house brand, Relish. This vertical reportedly achieved an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of Rs 150 crore in just six months, with a projected revenue run rate of Rs 1,000 crore by March 2026.

Income from marketplace services more than doubled to Rs 7,751 crore in FY25 from Rs 3,734 crore in FY24, contributing 38% to operating revenue. Advertising income surged 27% to Rs 6,317 crore, making up 31% of the topline. However, revenue from logistics services declined by 38% to Rs 4,224 crore, reducing its share to 21%. The firm made an additional Rs 314 crore from non-operating sources, which pushed its total revenue to Rs 20,807 crore in the last fiscal year (FY25). On the cost side, the largest cost head remained logistics service charges, which increased 9% to Rs 7,144 crore, accounting for 32% of total expenses. Employee benefit expenses declined 8% to Rs 4,748 crore, while marketing costs rose sharply by 37% to Rs 4,100 crore, making up 18% of overall costs. Collection charges stood at Rs 2,693 crore (12.1% of expenses) and legal/professional fees at Rs 1,394 crore. Overall, Flipkart Internet’s total expenses grew 8% to Rs 22,311 crore in FY25 from Rs 20,627 crore in FY24. Flipkart Internet managed to cut its losses by 37% to Rs 1,494 crore in FY25, from Rs 2,359 crore in FY24. Its EBITDA losses narrowed to Rs 1,078 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,869 crore in FY24, with the EBITDA margin improving from -10.25% to -5.18%. On a unit level, Flipkart spent Rs 1.09 to earn a rupee in FY25, better than Rs 1.15 in FY24. The company’s current assets stood at Rs 11,952 crore, while cash and bank balances rose to Rs 187 crore.

The sale of its products through offline stores and websites in India and the international market was the primary source of revenue, accounting for nearly 82% of total operating revenue, while its subsidiary, GlobalBees, contributed Rs 422 crore. The company also made Rs 44 crore from interest income which took its overall revenue to Rs 2,217 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to Rs 1,936 crore in Q3 FY24. For the omnichannel retailer, the cost of procurement of materials accounted for 66% of the overall expenditure which increased 17% year-on-year to Rs 1,451 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 1,239 crore in Q3 FY24. FirstCry’s employee benefits stood at Rs 177 crore in Q3 FY25 which includes Rs 28 crore as ESOP cost. The marketing, legal, rent, and technology were other overheads that pushed the overall expenditure to Rs 2,210 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 1,978 crore in Q3 FY24. The decent scale and controlled expenditure helped FirstCry to reduce its losses by 70% to Rs 15 crore in the last quarter. Notably, the company reported a positive EBITDA of Rs 152 crore. As of the last trading session, FirstCry’s share price stood at Rs 419 per share, with a total market capitalization of Rs 21,753.8 crore (approximately $2.5 billion).

The firm posted positive EBITDA of Rs 32 crore in FY25 with EBITDA margin of 12.17%. Its ROCE stood at 2.73% in the same period. On a unit basis, the company spent Rs 1.05 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in FY25. The firm’s current assets increased slightly to Rs 170 crore including cash and bank balances worth Rs 49 crore in the fiscal. According to startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Healthians has raised a total of $75 million of funding till date, having WestBridge, BEENEXT, DG Ventures and Youwecan as its lead investors. Overall, Sterling Accuris Diagnostics’ total expense increased by 14% to Rs 221 crore in FY25 from Rs 194 crore in FY24. With revenue outpacing expense growth, the firm controlled its loss by 15% to Rs 23 crore in FY25 from Rs 27 crore in FY24. Importantly, it posted a positive EBITDA of Rs 5.5 crore in FY25 with EBITDA margin improving to 2.72% from -0.59%. Sterling Accuris Diagnostics’ ROCE stood at -7.07%. On a unit basis, Sterling Accuris spent Rs 1.12 to earn a rupee in FY25, an improvement from Rs 1.20 in FY24. As of March 2025, the company recorded current assets worth Rs 52 crore in FY25 including Rs 22 crore in cash and bank balances. According to TheKredible, Sterling Accuris has raised a total of $33 million of funding till date. Its lead investors are Morgan Stanley, holding a 35.64% stake, and Udhay Vi Realty, with a 17%.

Flight and bus booking services contributed 27% and 19.3% to the company’s coffers, respectively. The firm’s operating expenses rose in Q2 FY25, reflecting increased investments in growth. Employee expenses and marketing costs contributed to this spike, which was necessary to support the company’s expansion in user acquisition and market penetration. Despite the rise in costs, EBITDA saw a sharp increase of 655%, reaching Rs 22.4 crore in Q2 FY25, compared to Rs 2.96 crore in Q2 FY24. Adjusted EBITDA also jumped 326% to Rs 20.99 crore in Q2 FY25. According to TheKredible, Smytten has raised a total of $22 million of funding till date, having Roots Ventures and Fireside Ventures as its lead investors.
