At the same time, its operating losses declined 51% to Rs 298 crore in FY25, according to the firm’s press release. CRED’s gross margins stood at around 70% during the year. Despite improvement at the operating level, CRED remained loss-making on a net basis. Its total losses narrowed 11.5% year-on-year to Rs 1,457 crore, which includes non-operating expenses such as ESOPs and depreciation. According to the release, its monthly transacting users (MTUs) rose 14.5% to 1.26 crore, while transaction frequency increased 34% to 14.4 transactions per user per month. Total payment value processed on the platform grew 23% year-on-year to Rs 8.5 lakh crore. Monetisation improved during the year as users adopted multiple products on the platform. Around 45% of active members used three or more products, resulting in average revenue per user (ARPU) of approximately Rs 2,000, the press release added. Lending remained a key revenue contributor in FY25, with managed AUM reaching Rs 22,000 crore. During the year, CRED expanded its portfolio across payments, lending, and personal finance, launching products such as CRED Money, credit score and card management tools, PPI wallet, and CRED Cash+. Its insurance marketplace, CRED Garage, added more insurers, aiding insurance revenue growth. According to TheKredible, CRED has raised more than $1 billion across nine funding rounds, including a $72 million down round led by GIC in May 2025 that cut its valuation to $3.64 billion from $6.4 billion in 2022. As per the company, it’s eyeing full profitability in FY26.

Founded in 2016 by Ankush Singla, Kannu Mittal, and Dhawal Parate, Coding Ninjas provides online educational and coaching services to engineering students, including training in programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python, as well as other skills such as machine learning, web development, and data science. Income from online coaching services was the sole source of revenue for Coding Ninjas in the last fiscal year. According to its financial statements, the company expanded its course portfolio during the year through collaborations with premier institutions and universities. On the cost side, the company managed to cut expenses by 9% in the said period. Its employee benefits decreased by 18.5% to Rs 44 crore, while promotion expenses stood steady at Rs 28 crore. With 26% year-on-year revenue growth, the firm’s losses reduced by 41.2% to Rs 30 crore in FY25 from Rs 51 crore in FY24. However, its accumulated losses over its lifetime reached Rs 151.5 crore in FY25. According to Entrackr’s analysis of its annual report, the firm had total current assets of only Rs 17 crore, including cash and bank balances of Rs 7.5 crore. Importantly, its total current liabilities exceeded its current assets by Rs 24.7 crore, which could be a cause for concern. As per the startup data intelligence platform TheKredible, Info Edge is the only external investor in the company and has poured in around Rs 178 crore (about $22 million) across three funding rounds. In October 2022, Info Edge increased its stake from 26% to 51% in Coding Ninjas with an investment of Rs 135.4 crore ($17 million). Coding Ninjas competes with platforms like Scaler, Masai School, and Newton School, along with Coding Blocks, GUVI, Udemy, and Coursera. These rivals offer courses for beginners, job-ready bootcamps, and advanced programs.

On the other hand, employee benefit expenses decreased 13% to Rs 69 crore in FY25 from Rs 79 crore in FY24. While legal and professional fees rose 41% to Rs 38 crore, finance costs more than doubled to Rs 14.5 crore. Other expenses added the remaining Rs 51.5 crore, pushing total costs to Rs 731 crore in FY25. In the end, GenieMode managed to cut its loss by 35% to Rs 51 crore in FY25 from Rs 78 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at -10.76% and -7.58%, respectively. On a unit basis, the company spent Rs 1.09 to earn a rupee of operating revenue in the last fiscal year. On a balance sheet front, the Gurugram-based company recorded total assets of Rs 690.5 crore in FY25 while current assets were Rs 544 crore including Rs 42 crore in cash and bank balances. According to TheKredible, GenieMode has raised $92 million of funding till date, having Info Edge, Tiger Global and Multiples Equity as its lead investors. The company’s co-founders Amit Sharma and Tanuj Gangwani own 39% of the company.

The firm made an additional Rs 314 crore from non-operating sources, which pushed its total revenue to Rs 20,807 crore in the last fiscal year (FY25). On the cost side, the largest cost head remained logistics service charges, which increased 9% to Rs 7,144 crore, accounting for 32% of total expenses. Employee benefit expenses declined 8% to Rs 4,748 crore, while marketing costs rose sharply by 37% to Rs 4,100 crore, making up 18% of overall costs. Collection charges stood at Rs 2,693 crore (12.1% of expenses) and legal/professional fees at Rs 1,394 crore. Overall, Flipkart Internet’s total expenses grew 8% to Rs 22,311 crore in FY25 from Rs 20,627 crore in FY24. Flipkart Internet managed to cut its losses by 37% to Rs 1,494 crore in FY25, from Rs 2,359 crore in FY24. Its EBITDA losses narrowed to Rs 1,078 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,869 crore in FY24, with the EBITDA margin improving from -10.25% to -5.18%. On a unit level, Flipkart spent Rs 1.09 to earn a rupee in FY25, better than Rs 1.15 in FY24. The company’s current assets stood at Rs 11,952 crore, while cash and bank balances rose to Rs 187 crore.

The company primarily manufactures and sells electric vehicles. According to Vahan data, it sold around 3,305 electric vehicles in FY25, generating Rs 173 crore from vehicle sales, while battery, accessories, and other operating income contributed an additional Rs 12 crore to its total operating revenue. Euler Motors also earned Rs 14.73 crore in non-operating income including interest income, which pushed its total revenue to Rs 206 crore in FY25. On the expense side, material costs remained the biggest expenditure, making up 47.5% of total expenses at Rs 192 crore in FY25. This cost was reduced by 10% compared to FY24. Employee benefit expenses rose 46% year-on-year to Rs 74.4 crore in FY25. Security and manpower service costs also jumped 55% to Rs 24.44 crore during the year, while finance costs and depreciation and amortization expenses stood at Rs 17.3 crore and Rs 18.46 crore, respectively. Further, advertising expenses surged 4.6X to Rs 12.77 crore in FY25 from Rs 2.75 crore in FY24. Other overheads including rent, R&D, travel, professional fees, transportation, repair and maintenance, software, and other expenses added Rs 64.8 crore to the total cost. Overall expenditure remained flat compared to FY24, at around Rs 404 crore. In the end, a 12% rise in operating revenue, coupled with higher non-operating income and controlled spending, helped the Hero MotoCorp-backed company reduce its losses by 12% to Rs 200 crore in FY25. On a unit level, Euler spent Rs 2.11 to earn a rupee of operating income. Its EBITDA margin and ROCE improved to -92.6% and -93.7% respectively. As on March 2025, the company’s current assets stood at Rs 214.3 crore, including cash and bank balances of Rs 95 crore. According to startup data platform TheKredible, the Delhi-based firm has raised over $200 million to date, with Hero MotoCorp, GIC, and British International Investment among its lead investors.

Employee benefit expenses rose to Rs 76 crore while material cost stood at Rs 52 crore during the year. Overall, total expenses remained largely flat at Rs 1,260 crore in FY25 from Rs 1,252 crore a year ago. Despite the high depreciation and finance costs, IndiQube’s near-flat expenses coupled with its top-line expansion helped the company to cut losses by 58% to Rs 141 crore in FY25, as compared to Rs 341 crore in FY24. The Bengaluru-based company spent Rs 1.2 to earn a Rupee of operating revenue in FY25. The company recorded current assets worth Rs 210 crore in FY25, including Rs 61 crore in Cash and bank balances. IndiQube’s equity shares will be listed on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The issue will open for subscription on July 23, 2025, and close on July 25, with the anchor book opening on July 22.

Supertails spent Rs 22.9 crore on marketing in FY25 to boost its sales, a 37% increase from FY24. Other overheads such as shipping charges, legal and professional fees, warehousing costs, and software charges added Rs 34.3 crore to its expenses. Overall expenses surged 53% to Rs 165.8 crore in FY25 from Rs 108.4 crore in FY24. In the end, although Supertails’ operating revenue growth outpaced its expense growth, its losses still widened 28% to Rs 52.5 crore in FY25 from Rs 41 crore in FY24. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin stood at -52.58% and -48.9% respectively. On a unit basis, the company spent Rs 1.53 to earn every rupee of revenue in FY25, a marginal improvement over FY24. E-sports accounted for 41.5% (Rs 216 crore) of the company’s total operating revenue, while the gaming segment held a 30% share (Rs 156 crore), followed by ad tech, which contributed 28% (Rs 148 crore). Nazara also earned Rs 18 crore from interest and gains on financial assets during the quarter, bringing its overall revenue to Rs 539 crore. However, the company posted a 40.8% YoY increase in its total income to Rs 1,715 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 1,218 crore in FY24. On the line of scale, Nazara’s total expenses surged by 85.3% to Rs 528 crore in Q4 FY25, compared to Rs 285 crore in the same quarter last year. Content and commission costs together stood at Rs 186 crore, while employee benefit expenses rose to Rs 80 crore. Notably, marketing expenses saw a sharp 3.5X jump, reaching Rs 151 crore in Q4 FY25. Despite a 95% year-on-year revenue growth in Q4, the company’s profit remained flat at Rs 4 crore in Q4 FY25. For the full fiscal year, its net profit declined to Rs 51 crore in FY25 from Rs 74.7 crore in FY24. Last week, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) also approved the acquisition of a majority stake and control over Nazara Technologies Limited by Axana Estates LLP, Plutus Wealth Management LLP, and Junomoneta Finsol Private Limited. Nazara is currently trading at Rs 1,270 (as of 03.41 PM) with a total market capitalization of Rs 11,127 crore (approximately $1.3 billion).
