- LC Nueva Investment Partners launched its second venture capital fund, the LC Nueva Momentum Fund, with a target corpus of Rs 150 crore ($18 million) and a potential total corpus of Rs 250 crore ($30 million). - The fund will focus on supporting 10-15 startups at the Series A and B stages, primarily targeting growth-stage investments. - The fund aims to reinvest in startups that have shown significant growth and operational performance, while also exploring adjacent market opportunities and secondary market investments. - LC Nueva Momentum Fund will actively pursue secondary opportunities, particularly in the Indian secondary market, which has seen increased interest in portfolio secondaries and institutional investors acquiring private secondary portfolios. - Sanket Sinha, Global Head of Asset Management at Lighthouse Canton, highlights that in the first half of 2024, secondary stake sales accounted for 34% of transactions in the $50-500 million range for large deals in India.
