Visibility has become an important part of the startup ecosystem. Events, branding, and public appearances help founders create awareness and attract opportunities. But visibility works best when the fundamentals are already stable. If the product is not ready, the revenue model is unclear, or the team structure is weak, attention can expose those weaknesses faster than it builds credibility. Branding amplifies what already exists. When the foundation is strong, visibility accelerates growth. When the foundation is weak, visibility accelerates scrutiny. For early-stage founders, the sequence matters: build structure first, then scale visibility.
