People should be taught how to drink responsibly, the same way we’re taught how to drive. Drinking isn’t the problem—lack of education around it is. In India, alcohol is often treated as either taboo or a free-for-all, with very little emphasis on moderation, limits, or consequences. Just like driving lessons teach rules, discipline, and accountability, learning how to drink should include understanding one’s limits, respecting others, and knowing when to stop.
