You’ll judge me for this… but I always notice. Whenever I visit an office, a hotel, or even someone’s home, my eyes automatically scan for one thing. A glowing light in an empty room. A fan spinning with no one underneath. An AC humming while the windows are open. A projector casting images on a blank wall with no eyes to watch. It’s such a small thing that people overlook. And that’s exactly why it says so much about them. See, turning off lights, fans, ACs, and switches when they’re not needed isn’t just about saving electricity. It’s about attention to detail. It’s about respecting shared resources. It’s about caring for something even when no one’s watching. Because how we treat the little things is often how we treat the big things. If you can’t take care of the basics, how can you be trusted with something bigger? So next time you leave a room, glance back. That extra second you take to flick a switch off might not change the world… but it might just say a lot about you.
