I am reading *VC/PE report* by *EY India*. Performance of *India* in *2024* vs *2023* 1. In *2024*, the total deal count was at *1,352* deals, a notable *54%* increase from *880* deals in *2023*. 2. Start-up segment was the *volume leader* with *645* deals, a *35%* increase to the *477* deals in *2023*. 3. PE/VC investments totalled to *$35B* across *1,085 deals* in *2024*, up from *$31.9B* across *756* deals in 2023. 4. There was a *heightened activity* in the *first half* of the year followed by a *slowdown* in the latter half showing similar patterns of *2 years*. 5. Infrastructure was the *leading sector*, attracting *$12.1B* in investment, slightly down from *$13B* in 2023. 6. Financial services recorded *$9.0B*, a *41%* increase over *2023*. 7. Technology and E-commerce recorded *$6B* and *$4.6B* in transactions in *2024* with increase of *56%* and *87%* respectively.
