Grasslands, wetlands, and savannas are not empty lands waiting for trees. They are rich ecosystems - full of birds, insects, mammals, and deep root networks. Turning them into plantations breaks more than it fixes. So what’s the real work? ✅ PROTECT OLD FORESTS - they store more carbon and life than new ones. ✅ Let nature regrow - natural REGENERATION restores up to 56% more biodiversity than plantations. ✅ CUT FOSSIL FUELS at the source - trees are not a permission slip for dirty energy. ✅ Support climate projects that tell the TRUTH - not just plant glossy promises. This is not about guilt. It’s about clarity. And clarity begins with knowing what not to fix.
