🎮 Is Indie Game Development in India Truly Sustainable? Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the future of gaming in India — especially for indie developers. While mobile gaming dominates the scene, story-driven or “AA” games rarely find space to grow. The biggest hurdles? Piracy, lack of proper funding, limited distribution systems, and almost no local ecosystem support. Many talented creators end up giving up or shifting abroad because making a living off indie games here still feels like a gamble. But things are slowly changing — with better engines, online visibility, and communities forming, there’s definitely hope. Still, I wonder: Can India ever become a serious ground for indie or storytelling-based games? What do you think needs to change — mindset, market, or money? #gamedevelopemnt #indie #aagames

Are there any government provided benefits such as loans, or other financial aids for indie game development in India? Given how the market is said only to grow, is anyone interested in investing in an indie game or at least helping out??
