Why doesn't India have its own GTA or Black Myth: Wukong yet? ๐ฎ๐ค India is one of the biggest gaming markets in the world ๐, yet it still doesn't have any real world-class AAA games. Why not? โ A lot of Indian games are in the "beta" stage ๐งช - buggy ๐, unfinished and usually re-skinned versions of successful hits like PUBG ๐ซ. Many are more interested in monetization ๐ฐ than storytelling ๐ or originality ๐จ. But change is coming. ๐ Some Indian studios are trying local content based on Indian mythology ๐๏ธ, history ๐ and culture ๐ญ - titles like Kurukshetra, Mystic Pillars and Metal Haven are proof of this. โ The real challenge? โ ๏ธ A small PC/console gaming audience ๐งโ๐ป High development costs ๐ธ (GTA 6 had a budget of over $2 billion!) ๐ฐ Fear of piracy ๐ดโโ ๏ธ (which is really overblown) But the good news is that PC gaming is growing rapidly in India ๐. Steam, Epic and gaming laptops ๐ป are making good games accessible at affordable prices ๐.
