Dear Men, While you post your stories and celebrate last night's win, take a moment. Look beyond the screen. Look at the women around you. Do they receive the same respect you’re posting about? Let’s be honest - if our team hadn’t won the semifinals, most of us wouldn’t even know they were playing. This isn’t just about a trophy. It’s about the system that finally let them play without asking for permission. It’s about the silence that preceded the celebration. LET THIS BE A NORMAL SCENE. Let stadiums roar for women without needing a world title. Let visibility not depend on victory. LET’S NOT FORGET AFTER A WEEK. Let’s not think we can “allow” or “disallow” someone to dream, to play, to lead. Tonight, Indian women didn’t just win a World Cup. They reminded us that respect delayed is respect denied. Add yourself to this win. Not as a spectator. But as someone who chooses to remember, respect, and reconstruct the system.

I don't think this about gender I think its about indian mentality. Most people don't watch cricket because they love the game. They do so because watching their country win, gives them pleasure (and maybe sense of superiority). If the same indian team were stary performing poorly, the viewership will fall atleast to 50%. I am refraining from giving harsh remarks, but you can see the example of hockey. It was loved till india was winning. Take football, all the world thinks football is entertaining. But in india it is not even near mainstream, because the indian team doesn’t win. If a person actually liked the game, he would see BBL and IPL, WPL or even any local game with the same interest. I am not saying women are not disrespected in our country. I am just saying indians don't respect anybody for their hard work and efforts maybe because most indians don't have an idea how hard it is to be good at any sport, then be it women's or men’s.
