But here’s my take: whenever you feel tempted to settle for less, don’t be afraid to ask for what you deserve. Don’t shy away from expecting effort, love, or respect in return. If it’s a real connection, they’ll meet you halfway — no matter what. And if they don’t? Then they’re not worth your time, your energy, or your potential. Because one thing I’ve learned is that temporary pain is always better than a lifetime of regret.
