Startup Management Hacks: I’ve lost count of the times I’ve heard this line in meetings: “That process worked at company X, let’s do the same here.” And almost every time, chaos follows. This mainly happens when someone with vast corporate experience joins a growing startup. They try to transplant what worked in a giant machine into say, a scrappy, fast-moving setup. The fact is, no two companies are the same. Culture, people, pace, priorities... they all differ. What clicks in one place can completely fall flat in another. And when you wrap it with some shiny jargon to impress the management, people just roll their eyes. Better to keep it simple. Take the successful process as a reference and build your own framework.
