The stats you mentioned are quite well-known and have been common knowledge for years. What you missed, however, is why platforms charge that 30% commission—I'd suggest digging into that with some research. Restaurants typically don’t struggle with the high commission fees directly, as they often pass those costs on to customers by marking up their prices. It’s the customers who feel the pinch. Beyond that, the current system has multiple flaws, and it can be quite difficult for newcomers to adapt. Since I’ve previously worked closely with a food service provider, I’ve gained a solid understanding of how things work behind the scenes.
