AI gave us wings, but are we learning how to fly before jumping off the cliff? I have huge respect for what Replit has built. It has changed the way millions of developers and founders build and ship products. I personally love using AI agents, vibe coding, and pushing boundaries with tools that make building faster. But this recent incident shook me. Replit’s AI reportedly went rogue, deleting crucial company data. The CEO had to publicly apologize, accepting what went wrong. And it made me wonder. Are we chasing speed at the cost of control? I am still pro AI and believe it is the future, but speed without guardrails can be dangerous. What happens when AI makes a mistake that cannot be undone? Who is accountable then? Replit is still one of the most important companies shaping how the world codes, but this is a reminder for all of us. Are these just growing pains of innovation or should we slow down and rethink how we deploy autonomous AI agents? What do you think?
