Every hardware solution starts as an idea, but it only becomes real when you lay down the line. #Day4 – Schematic & PCB Design Hardware Product From Scratch! I shared how careful component selection and a smart BOM strategy lay the groundwork for reliable hardware because choosing the right building blocks is half the battle. I start every schematic by mapping each block, which makes it a lot easier to wrap around my head. Then I turn functional blocks into a connected design, double-checking pinouts and datasheet for any quirks along the way. Finally connect these blocks to make the final circuits. Simple breakdown of the blocks - Power section - Controller section - Wireless section - peripheral sections (can be multiple) Other things to consider while building a schematic : * Use Standard Symbols * Annotate everything * Try to use Bus / hierarchical sheets to reduce complexcity * Always run ERC before PCB design * Use correct local/global labels.
