How We Made an Office Without Having One At Friday AI, we’ve always believed in being remote-first and globally accessible. Because let’s be honest — someone in Delhi shouldn’t have to move to Mumbai just to chase a dream with us. But during our foundational phase — when the model tests were intense, the datasets were large, and decisions needed real-time sync — I knew the team had to work together, side by side, for a short sprint. Problem: No funds for an office. Solution: A birthday party. 😄 I was at my friend’s birthday — he and his partner both work in Accenture (Airoli), living in Powai-Kanjurmarg. Their home stays empty from 10AM to 7PM every weekday. I casually asked, "Can I borrow your house for Some days?" He casually said, "Take the keys." And just like that, Friday AI had an office. 🌐 High-speed WiFi ☕ Boost packets we shamelessly finished 🍜 Late-night home-cooked food 💻 Team sync, day after day 🔥 Milestones hit — not in WeWork, but in someone's living room. In those 50 days: Our 2 core engineers (still working full-time at MNCs) clocked 50+Days I managed and executed all ground ops Freelancers from across the country helped us move faster Big love to my friends and everyone who stepped up — Avinas, Abhishek, Navin, Sumeet, Anishka, and so many more. 🙏 Today, we’re back to our remote roots — scaling, hiring, fundraising — but those 50 days remind me: You don’t need a big office to build big things. Just a good idea, good people, and a bit of jugaad. #FridayAI #StartupStory #RemoteWork #FoundersLife #Teamwork #NoOfficeStartup
