The range of electric boats would be less & can't carry multiple batteries and keep switching them. That's the reason it isn't electified yet & boats can't be bought to home / electricity can't be bought to the edge of the port where boats can be charged so easily. To be fair honest saying electrified vehicles are eco-friendly is such a bad idea. They are like of more hazardous 🤣 yes even I don't like electric car, until and unless someone really would make where electric is natural & not generated by coal / petrol / diesel again. And yea most of the boats doesn't use petrol they mostly use Diesel
