Why We Started Etervel - A Founder’s Story It's during the terrifying wave of COVID-19, I witnessed something that shook me deeply. My grandmother fell critically ill in rajasthan due to covid. We rushed her to the nearest hospital, but it lacked even basic diagnostic infrastructure. There was no clarity on what services were available, no online system to check for bed availability and other details and everything was in chaos. In desperation, we moved her to a multi-speciality hospital in an ambulance, the oxygen turned out to be insufficient due to the ignorance of the operator. She had to survive those painful moments without oxygen support, which could have been fatal. We were lucky she held on, but many families weren’t. Amid all this, everything was offline from her reports to prescriptions. I found myself taking photos of her files, converting them into PDFs, and helping my uncle manage the chaos - all manually. It was overwhelming and heartbreaking. I couldn’t stop thinking: “Why does healthcare in India still feel like this in the 2020s or even behind?” No real-time information. No transparency. No digital records. No coordination. No Transparent cost of diagnostics. No Real-time tracking of ambulance...List goes on. And that’s when the seed for Etervel was planted. Later, I met Dr Saurav singh, a builder who had previously launched a “Zomato for Hospitals” Started as "hospital discovery platform" concept during COVID. He had onboarded 15+ users and generated ₹1.5 lakh in early revenue. But he had to shut it down due to scaling challenges. We knew there was something bigger waiting to be built not just another appointment platform, but a full backend chain for healthcare in India. So together, we began building Etervel - with a vision to bring transparency, accessibility, and modern tech to every layer of care: ✅ Real-time hospital & doctor discovery ✅ Transparent treatment costs ✅ Smart ambulance dispatch ✅ Blockchain-based health records ✅ Monthly medication delivery before you runout of medications. ✅ One-click insurance support We both then introduced the "Ambulance in 10Min/Rescue in 10Min" Feature way before Blinkit launched their pilot in Gururam after 5 months. But due to lack of funds we have not executed. We’re not just another startup. We’re a mission - born from personal pain, shaped by grit, and driven by the belief that every Indian deserves healthcare that works when it matters most. Let's see where it goes.
