I still remember the time I built my first application with a friend — it was during the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown, when everything was uncertain and people were stuck at home. We decided to build an app for hosting PUBG tournaments, back when the game was insanely popular and the demand was high. We didn’t have strong technical skills, but every day we learned something new — from basic front-end buttons to complex backend setups, and even integrating a payment gateway for the first time. We were obsessed with getting everything perfect. It took us about 2 to 2.5 months of learning, building, and testing. By the time we were ready to launch, a few other apps had already hit the market. When we started, there were just 1–2 competitors — now there were 6–7. Still, we didn’t give up. We launched and hosted 2 successful tournaments. Then came the shocker — PUBG was banned by the government, right in the middle of the COVID-19 wave. That experience taught us a big lesson about speed, timing, and the power of building an MVP. So yeah, if I had $200K today, I’d definitely use it much more wisely — not just with passion, but with a clear plan and lessons from the past.
