I just study about how consumer reviews can quietly reveal major economic patterns. 🧠📉 While browsing restaurant reviews from different cities, I noticed something interesting: In some places, people mostly talk about taste, ambiance, or service. But in others, there's a heavy focus on pricing — how expensive or affordable the food is. That got me thinking: Can we measure a city's price sensitivity through its restaurant reviews? This led me to define a concept I'm calling: 🔍 Review-Based Price Salience Index (RPSI) A qualitative indicator that reflects how often price is mentioned in user reviews — helping us understand how deeply pricing affects consumer behavior in a given city or market. In simpler words: The more people talk about prices in reviews, the more sensitive that market might be to food costs. I'm curious — has anyone explored this area through data or research? Would love to hear thoughts or collaborate on building this into something more formal!
