There's something very wrong with job market. Some people are talking about it, but most don't understand criticality of it. I work at a senior leadership role with experience in Fortune top 5 companies. I have good profile, network, and obviously an ATS friendly resume. But my applications for roles that I know I can nail in my sleep are not getting shortlisted. I have tried roles which are a notch below my qualification, a notch above, as well as same level. Recruiters don't even bother to respond. My network tells me that most of the job postings are getting filled internally or are just posted to build future pipelines (fake in simple words). Thankfully I have a job. I was just taking a shot. If you have a job today, DO NOT RESIGN without having an offer letter in hand. The market is in employer's favor, and bad. And no one knows when will it turn around.
