Surely for personal branding. He already has a good brand image. He is also a Shark so his popularity increased way more. Now he's using that popularity to further improve his brand image and for a better performance during the IPO.
He would surely manage to recover times more than what he spent...
Also since most of his companies are environmental friendly, Mr Trump would surely be reducing taxesl/ offering benifits to such companies.
