Nothing will work if you or anyone else personally tell him to let it go. The guy himself needs to understand what has happened to him and what is he doing. There is not much you can do except. Indirectly helping him take him to places where he can talk to different people nothing will change if he will just sit at home and scrolling shit his sadness and grief will slowly lessen if he talk to any many people as he could (people who are like minded and themselves motivated not any other influencer) take him to different group of people who laughs and enjoy themselves and most importantly motivated take him to nature walk and make him do some meditation and non of these things will work if his environment is not happy and motivated keep him as far as possible from musics (romantic, sad etc) and if not suggest him some instrumential music you can also change his room if you have any pictures of him without his gf take them out and paste in his room picture about business etc.

I know it might sound impractical to some people but there is a breathing exercise called ‘box breathing’ doing it genuinely for like 15 minutes and then exercising really makes a difference. This meditation and exercises just forces your brain to feel good. Some how it makes chemically impossible to feel bad if done regularly. But yes the person must have at least a little ‘will power’ to change himself or herself. I do these breath work and exercises regularly early in the morning. To be honest I just love it. It really feels good and makes you feel relaxed. Maybe that’s what your roommates needs, little relaxation. This reels wnd social media just consumes lot of dopamine in his head which is worst. Only he can help himself and he has to have will power to change himself

Unfortunately not much. The drive and hustle comes from within. All you can do is take a lesson. Never let personal issues bleed into your professional life. On a positive note, he is still young and has ample time to turn it around.

Make her ex talk to him or infuse some revenge on her. Try motivating everyday. If he is rude or making things hard. Just leave him. We can't change that.

There could be two possible option Ask his ex to tell him to focus or share the entire issue with her. Or. Develop a revenge factor in him to build his startup again and don't give a F about his ex

Try to connect him with experienced person or get counselor support from Yourdost or Mindpeers
