The Boeing 787, operating as flight AI-173 with 133 passengers and crew, went down near the Meghani area around 9:12 AM IST. Eyewitnesses reported the plane wobbling mid-air before crashing in a field, followed by a massive explosion. Rescue teams, including the NDRF and emergency responders, are at the scene, pulling survivors from the wreckage and rushing them to hospitals. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched a probe. Air India has activated emergency helplines for families. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief and assured full support.
