Why are people against Truecaller? If privacy is the reason, our phone numbers are compromised anyway. Sweden, with a population lesser than Bangalore, gave us truecaller. India is the largest market of this app. Plus India has the largest spamming network too, which is the reason why people use this app. Even then we can't make an app as good as truecaller. I think, the govt should have built an alternative to this by now. This is not just about tech... But more about control, data and accountability.
