This was one of those classic 'cool concept, zero practicality' reveals. Xiaomi’s Mi Air Charge sound futuristic, but let’s be real it was just a concept. The whole idea of charging your phone from across the room sounds awesome until you remember basic physics. Wireless charging is already super inefficient even when the device is sitting on the pad. Now try scaling that to several feet of distance and obstacles in the way the energy loss is insane. You’re wasting more power than you’re delivering. Not to mention potential health concerns, interference issues, and the fact that no existing phones support it. It’s more of a PR stunt than something we’ll actually use anytime soon
