YES! This is exactly what Eric Ries taught us years ago! 🙌 Customer development should come before product development. Too many founders are in love with their solution rather than the problem. The pivot from productivity to wedding planning is classic - users reveal use cases you never imagined. Build what people want, not what you think they need. This should be startup 101.
